Wir geben das alte Ich nicht gerne auf; denn ganz oder teilweise kleben wir fest an unserem alten Ich, obwohl uns alles frei angeboten ist. Auch wenn wir die Zusicherung h\u00e4tten, dass die \u00c4nderung \u00fcberhaupt keine M\u00fche miteinschlie\u00dft, auch wenn es keine Selbstverleugnung, keine Anstrengung dabei g\u00e4be, es w\u00fcrde sich nichts daran \u00e4ndern. Wir m\u00f6chten nicht neugeschaffen werden; wir schrecken davor zur\u00fcck; es wirft uns aus allen unseren nat\u00fcrlichen Bahnen, aus allem, was uns vertraut ist. Wir versp\u00fcren, dass wir nicht mehr wir selbst bleiben, wenn wir nicht einen Teil dessen bewahren, was wir bisher gewesen sind; und wie sehr wir auch in allgemeinen Worten vorgeben, dass wir ge\u00e4ndert werden m\u00f6chten: wenn es darauf ankommt, wenn die Einzelheiten der \u00c4nderung uns vor Augen gestellt werden, schrecken wir vor ihnen zur\u00fcck und sind es zufrieden, zu bleiben wie bisher.&#8220;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Der sel.
